Hello 2014,  good-bye 2013

I  hope you all had wonderful holidays!  We had the greatest Christmas in my parent's house, the only thing we were missing - we are still missing - is the snow!   The weather went crazy in Hungary, it feels like spring, the season of tulip bossom and Easter though it is January which supposed to be the coldest month.  This warm winter is very unusual and I miss the good old icy winters with knee-high snow of last years.

A year ago I was a stay-at-home mom with three kids living a very isolated life in a village where I hardly knew anybody.  At the end of February I went back to work as a lawyer again into the heart of the capital city, and a week later The Snowflower Diaries was launched.

Let's start this year with a new series!  Last year I had designed you a seasonal series of witches, but Professor Hooked Nose Snape has sentenced me to pick slimy frogs from his jars for revealing too much for the muggle world, not to mention the witches breaching the dress code while riding their brooms, so this year I sail to other seas, to my other favourite theme: flowers and nature.

This year I cordially invite you to our garden, which is a happy mixture and variety of flowers and plants. With my usual talent of giving names, the new series is called: MAJA'S GARDEN.  I am ready with the first piece, wohooo!

Hello 2014, Isten veled 2013!

            Remélem, mindenkinek kellemesen teltek az ünnepek!  Nekünk csodálatos karácsonyunk volt a szülem házában, az egyetlen dolog, amit hiányoltunk - amelyet még mindig hiányolunk - a hó! Az időjárás teljesen megőrült Magyarországon, mintha tavasz lenne, húsvéttal és bimbózó tulipánokkal miközben január elvileg a legfagyosabb hónapunk.   Ez az enyhe tél felettébb szokatlan és bizony hiányoznak az elmúlt évek hidegei a térdig érő hóval. 
           Egy évvel ezelőtt háztartásbeli, három gyerekes anyukaként éltem meglehetősen elszigetelt életemet egy kisvárosban, ahol gyakorlatilag senkit nem ismertünk.   Február végén visszamentem jogtanácsosi munkámba a főváros szívébe, egy héttel később pedig a The Snowflower Diaries is elindult. 
      Kezdjük az idei évet egy új sorozattal!  Tavaly egy szezonális boszisorozattal köszöntöttelek Titeket, de Kampósorrú Piton professzor büntetésből nyálkás békákat szedetett ki velem az üvegeiből, amiért túl sokat felfedtem a mugli világnak, arról nem is beszélve, hogy a seprűn repesztő boszik megszegték az öltözködési előírásokat.  Így hát idén más vizekre evezem, másik kedvelt témám: a virágok és a természet felé veszem az irányt. 
      Ezennel idén nagy tisztelettel meghívlak benneteket a kertünkbe, amely egy dzsumbuj,  mindenféle virág és növény vidám keveréke.   A már megszokott névadó tehetségemmel az új sorozat neve: Maja kertje.

Joyful World - DECEMBER PATTERN

Dear Stitchers, We have arrived to the finish of my primitive cross stitch calendar, Joyful World. Tonight, before the clock hits midnight, I release the pattern of the last month, December. I am happy and sad at the same time.   Designing and creating this calendar became part of my life, almost like a job I love. According to my filofax notes, designing (in 20+ languages), stitching, photoshooting, photoshoping, pattern making, releasing, promoting this calendar needed 121 days in 10 months, mainly the evening hours. I have started releasing the first month this January in 2016 and hoped for some folks to come by and join the stich along of this calendar pattern I designed for my children.  I expected 30+ participants, most of them friends who are too nice to say no:-)   Today, November 10, 2016 there are 6.481 members in our Facebook group dedicated to this SAL.   You can guess that I am in shock for many months now.
