Blame it on The Primitive Hare, but since I had seen her gorgeus, latest Pride and Prejudice themed design, I am totally distracted from my own designs and keep watching Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy on dvd. There had been years, when I was such a huge fan of the BBC adaptation with Colin Firth that I had watched it and read Jane Austen's wonderful book million times. I can totally understand Bridget Jones if you ask me.
I am very blessed, because I met and talked with Colin Firth when he was in Budapest some years ago. He and his Italian wife were both such wonderful, opened, kind and normal, I respect him even more since that day. So instead of stitching I painted some 10-minute quick portraits of him to practice. I love the English Derwent watercolour pencils, one of the finest, high quality pencils on Earth.

Fogjátok a Primitive Hare-ra, de mióta megláttam a csodás, legújabb Büszkeség és balítélet témájú mintáját, teljesen elkalandoztam a saját mintáimtól és egyfolytában Elizabethet és Mr. Darcyt lesem a dvd-n. Voltak évek, amikor annyira rajongtam a BBC-féle Colin Firth-ös feldolgozásért, hogy milliószor megnéztem és elolvastam Jane Austen nagyszerű remekművét. Teljesen meg tudom érteni Bridget Jonest, ha engem kérdeztek.
Abban a kivételes helyzetben vagyok, hogy találkoztam és beszéltem is Colin Firth-szel, amikor Budapesten járt pár éve. Ő és olasz felesége is nagyon csodálatos, nyitott, kedves és normális emberek, csak még jobban tisztelem attól a naptól fogva.
Így hát hímzés helyett inkább festettem egy-két tíz perces gyors portrét róla ujjgyakorlatnak. Imádom az angol Derwent vízfesték ceruzákat, a világ egyik legkiválóbb, csúcsminőségű ceruzái.
